PRAYERS FOR THOSE WHO HAVE DIED & SAKA DAWA CEREMONY
Tuesday, June 14 ~ 5:30-7pm

On the 15th of the Tibetan month, we gather in community in the Maitripa College Jokhang Meditation Hall to recite the traditional Prayers for Those Who Have Died from the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. This is a regular event for the purposes of both creating as much positivity as possible to send along with those who have died and to provide a space for solace for those who still remain.

If you wish to submit the name and photo of a person who has died recently, please do so by following the button below no later than Friday, June 11.

The photos will be displayed at the prayer ceremony, and the names will be read aloud.  (At this time, we will be focusing our prayer services only on human beings who have died; please submit the names of your pets here for prayers by clicking here. )

Open for a limited number of participants in-person; full vaccination against Covid-19 required for in-house participants; open to all online via Zoom. Registration required:

There is no cost for this service, but offerings on behalf of your loved one may be made here or in person.
