(October 2016) Key representatives of Maitripa College met recently for a day-long working session to launch our formal process to map out the 1-year, 5-year, and 10-year Strategic Plans for Maitripa College.
College leadership has already invested significant time and energy over the past months to work with planning consultants, stakeholders, and trusted advisors to the College to lay the groundwork for implementing clear, mission-relevant, measurable, attainable goals for the continuing founding and flourishing of Maitripa College.
The result of these meetings was the identification and formation of four committees focusing on four areas of most pressing need for refinement at the College over the next period of time. Those areas are:
- Financial Resources
- Faculty
- Program Development
- Administration
Goals in each area were identified, and the committees will work over the next months to articulate clear action plans towards fulfilling those goals in the short-term (2017), medium-term (with a focus on overall sustainability) and long-term (with a continued focus on Regional Accreditation Readiness in all areas). Each committee will be responsible for drafting a plan that entails Goals, Action Steps, and Assessment Measures for each area, based on a traditional SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) Analysis and research tied to our mission statement and College values.
Committee selection and tasks will be communicated n the coming days, and we anticipate having a draft of our next Strategic Plan/s ready for Board approval by the end of this year, and look forward to sharing it with all of you soon thereafter.
