(March 2016) Maitripa College Adjunct Professor Dan Rubin, PsyD, recently published “A Brief Mindfulness-Based Intervention for Primary Care Physicians: A Pilot Randomized Controlled Trial” in the American Journal of Lifestyle Medicine. Dan was the lead designer of the mindfulness intervention, the Mindful Medicine Curriculum (MMC), that was used for the interesting study with a population of physicians, as well as one of the 3 co-teachers who delivered the intervention.
Dan said, “It was great to be part of a team of researchers, doctors, and mindfulness educators collaborating to improve physician wellness and contribute to the scientific study of mindfulness. I’m excited to share what we did with the Maitripa community. May all beings benefit.”
