We acknowledge all the scholars and translators who have made it possible for us to engage with these Treatises in a way that Tsong-kha-pa did. We thank them from the depths of our hearts for helping to keep the practice and transmission of Dharma alive.

Tsong-kha-pa relied primarily on the works of Nāgārjuna, Āryadeva, Buddhapālita and Cāndrakirti to understand Madhyamaka. Most of the works of Tsong-kha-pa on Madhyamaka mainly refer to these scholars. Tsong-kha-pa also refers to Bhāvaviveka, Kamalaśila and Śantarakśita while articulating the distinction between Svatāntrika Madhyamaka and Prasāngika Madhyamaka.
