Michael Jolliffe, MA

Michael Jolliffe came to Maitripa College when it first opened its doors is in January 2006, motivated by “a vague but undeniable spiritual longing”. Since then, Michael has regularly volunteered for the community by serving as Yangsi Rinpoche’s teaching assistant, facilitating Discovering Buddhism classes, leading various rituals (particularly Medicine Buddha pujas), and teaching basic meditation to prisoners and men affected by HIV/AIDS.

Michael currently works as the assistant editor for Mandala, the magazine of the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT).
