Friday: Sustaining Resiliency and Equanimity Today, with special Tibetan New Year (Losar) Celebration
7-9pm: Teaching and Losar Celebration

We will add the Losar custom of ‘throwing barley’ to raise the fortunes and health of all for the coming year of the Earth Dog! Please join us!

Saturday: Changing Negative Mental Habits into a Joyful Mind of Love and Compassion
10 – noon: Teaching | noon-1:30: Lunch | 1:30 – 4: Teaching

This teaching will be drawn from the Seven Point Mind Training, a method for uprooting ordinary perception and habits in everyday life in order to increase positive emotions and compassion.

Venerable Robina will draw upon a book she is editing of Lama Yeshe’s mahamudra teachings, which ground spiritual practice in the experiential awareness of our minds, allowing for spaciousness and freedom.

Venerable Robina Courtin

Ordained since the late 1970s, Ven. Robina has worked full time since then for Lama Thubten Yeshe and Lama Zopa Rinpoche’s FPMT. Over the years she has served as editorial director of Wisdom Publications, editor of Mandala Magazine, executive director of Liberation Prison Project, and as a touring teacher of Buddhism. Her life and work with prisoners have been featured in the documentary films Chasing Buddha and Key to Freedom.  Visit her website for more.
