Thursday Evening Vajrasattva Practice Group: NOTE TONIGHT’S PRACTICE IS CANCELLED

Please join us on most Thursdays this fall for our Vajrasattva Practice Group! Led by senior practitioners, this session is a group Vajrasattva practice focused on mantra recitation and the practice of the Four Opponent Powers.
7-7:20 pm: Brief Introduction to the Practice, Setting the Motivation, Silent Meditation
7:20-8:20 pm: Vajrasattva Practice
8:20-8:30 pm: Discussion, Q & A, Dedication

The Thursday practice will sometimes include a tsog (offering practice on certain auspicious days in the traditional Tibetan Buddhist calendar). This practice is suitable for persons of all levels, from beginning to advanced. If you would like to make an offering, you are welcome to bring a snack to offer. This could include crackers, cookies, fruit, or anything else you’d be happy to offer.
What Is Vajrasattva Practice?
Vajrasattva practice is a powerful recitation and visualization practice for mental and physical purification. It involves reciting a sadhana and visualizing purification with light.
Do I need an initiation to join the Practice Group?
Initiation is not required to attend the Vajrasattva practice group. All are welcome.
What if I don’t know how to do the Vajrasattva practice?
Very basic Vajrasattva practice instruction, including an explanation of the Four Opponent Powers, is included in the practice and will be reviewed in each session. This instruction is appropriate for everyone, regardless of your level. If you are interested in receiving further instruction, please email Namdrol at [email protected] to set up a time to meet with a teacher or experienced guide.
Do I need to register to be part of this group?
No registration is needed; please just come.
