Discovering Buddhism: Refuge and Bodhicitta Retreat with Venerable Yonten

This module will be taught by Venerable Yonten in a retreat style, combining the foundational teachings on Refuge in the Three Gems (Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha) and Bodhicitta (the altruistic mind of enlightenment) with guided meditations and discussions. This course is excellent preparation for anyone who may be considering requesting to receive Refuge vows from Yangsi Rinpche (or other dharma teacher) in the coming year.

Schedule: Friday, 7-8pm: Introductory Public Talk about Refuge and Bodhicitta
Saturday, 10am – 4pm (in four sessions: 10 – 11am; 11:30-12:30pm; 1:30-2:30pm, 3-4pm)

Ven. Yonten is an American-born nun ordained in the Tibetan tradition who has taught for many years in Australia, New Zealand, Israel, Europe, and the United States.
