Discovering Buddhism: Death and Rebirth with Carl Jensen and Julie Dreyer
July 22 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, repeating until 07/29/2020
Explore the process of death and rebirth and its impact on how we live our lives. Learning about how death is understood in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition includes the importance of contemplating our own inevitable deaths, which can help us resolve difficulties and live with purpose and meaning.
This module helps us develop the skills to help ourselves and others before, at the time of, and after death. Teachers Carl and Julie, both Maitripa College alumna and Board Certified Chaplains at Portland Providence Medical Center, are experienced Tibetan Buddhist practitioners, familiar with this topic from traditional and contemporary perspectives. The module will be taught via Zoom, and includes an interactive format.
